SHORT-TERM EXCHANGE PROGRAM FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS:
“Haoxin Culture Camp”
1. Profile of Guangdong University of Petrochemical Technology
Guangdong University of Petrochemical Technology (GDUPT) founded in 1954, it has evolved into a provincial comprehensive university offering programs of superior quality in the engineering discipline, featured petrochemical technology as well as multidisciplinary and coordinated development. The university is co-supported by the People’s Government of Guangdong Province, China Petroleum & Chemical Corporation (Sinopec), China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) and China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC). In addition, GDUPT is the unique petrochemical institution in southern China and one of the pilot university of cultivating excellent engineers selected by Chinese Ministry of Education.
The GDUPT consists of 21 faculties and 4 departments, offering 60 undergraduate programs, which fall into nine major disciplines, namely engineering, science, economics, management, education, literature, law, history and arts. Currently, there are over 1,300 staff and about 27,800 full-time students at GDUPT.
GDUPT is committed to cultivating students into talents with specialist knowledge, professional skills, innovation ability and healthy personality. We work to deepen education and teaching reform to improve teaching quality and achieve higher education level. 2. Brief Introduction of the Program
2.1 The Program: Haoxin Culture Camp
The theme of this project is to experience the unique Haoxin Culture in Maoming, with the aim of enhancing international students’ understanding of Maoming as well as Guangdong Province of China, enhancing their international influence, and deepening cultural exchanges between countries. This project also aims to provide students with a firsthand experience of Haoxin culture represented by Lady Xian, a heroine living around 1500 years ago who upheld the spirit of patriotism, unity, harmony, and serving the people. Additionally, students have the chance to taste the Cantonese morning tea, lychee culture, Hua Ju Hong culture through on-site visits. What’s more, this project is committed to building a platform for student exchanges, providing opportunities for dialogue, enabling the sharing of experiences, and laying the groundwork for future collaborations.
2.2 Timetable for Program of Haoxin Culture Camp
3. Eligibility (General Requirements)
Applicants must be valid foreign passport holders.
College students that could provide student status certificate at application.
With proper moral conduct, in good health with no infectious disease or any physical or mental diseases that may affect the normal study.
4. Fees (in Chinese Currency RMB)
The total fees for each program are 10,800 yuan Chinese RMB (around 1,500 US dollars, it depends on the exchanging rate at application) each person, covering Accommodation (Hotel, Double-bed room), transportation (large-size luxurious travelling bus), meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner), tickets for visiting, and other necessities.
All the fees should be paid prior to the beginning of the program. The fees paid will not be refunded when the program begins, and 80% can be refunded before the beginning of the program.
Plane tickets, Insurance, and personal consumption are self-funded by the applicants.
Note: The program will be launched if more than 20 (including 20) applicants registered. The program will not be launched if less than 20 applicants registered.
